Solar charger $20 for mobile phones in rural settings
Posted by Afrigadget. Lots of talk around about solar charging but G24i have made one available for $20. What’s interesting also is that comments on this post are from people working/living in rural parts of Africa and mention that there is huge need for additional charging solutions because multiple mobile phones and very few sockets. More thoughts on this and use of mobile phones in Africa, in general, on the Kiwanja blog

My father is an expert on solar panels and he is currently checking out some solutions for one of our mobile projects. So this is really helpful.

WOW, it must be so interesting having that kind of expertise, who can really make huge differences to the planet as well as communities :-))))
There’s a story on shareideas too about it being used for recharging phones but it doesn’t mention costs
